For over 20 years, Managing Director, Kate King, worked for a number of local businesses in various accounting roles, including managerial roles, management accounting and payroll services. In December 2015, Kate decided to make the jump and start her own accountancy firm - and hasn't looked back since. The team has grown significantly since then and we now occupy an office in the heart of Kendal town centre in the market square.

​MANAGING DIRECTOR

Kate (AKA 'Big Kate') has worked in the industry since leaving school in various accounting roles, gaining a wealth of knowledge and experience along the way. In 2015, she founded KKAS, and now works with businesses throughout Cumbria, Lancashire, North Yorkshire and beyond providing comprehensive accountancy services.

Kate's interests outside of the office include going on lots adventures with her children and family and exploring new places. 

KATE KILPATRICK
​ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT

Kate (AKA 'Little Kate') helps KKAS with bookkeeping for local clients.

In her spare time, Kate enjoys spending time with her family. ​She takes great pride in supporting her local sports club with both bookkeeping and keeping cash in the till in exchange for refreshments. She has an amazing sense of humour and is always creating smiles around the office.

CAT BROWN
BOOKKEEPER

Cat has over 20 years' of financial and administration experience within charity, manufacturing and construction in prior employed roles and many more industries within KKAS' duties.

When Cat is not working, she can be found entertaining her twin children and going on many family adventures along with her Canadian husband. When that isn't enough, she volunteers for an amazing charity close to her heart.

PETRA  DENTON
ACCOUNTS SENIOR

Petra is multi lingual, originally from Slovakia she can speak Slovak, English and can even speak a little German (but doesn't want to advertise this talent). She has over 15 years' experience in accounts preparation and tax and holds a degree in accountancy. We think she is very impressive! 

Petra moved to England in 2003 and stayed after meeting her now husband and becoming a mum to two girls.

In her spare time, Petra enjoys exploring The Lakes with her family, testing her husbands home brewed beer and gracing the local ski slope.

NATALIE GORDON                    
ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT

Natalie (Nat) has previously worked in administration support roles prior to starting her family. She took a break from work to become a full time mum to three children and is now taking a much needed break from 'mum duties' by joining the KKAS team part-time.

Nat loves filing and sorting and is great at it which is amazing for us here at the office. Nat is currently enjoying learning new skills and making huge progress towards becoming a bookkeeper.
