For over 20 years, Managing Director, Kate King, worked for a number of local businesses in various accounting roles, including managerial roles, management accounting and payroll services. In December 2015, Kate decided to make the jump and start her own accountancy firm - and hasn't looked back since. The team has grown significantly since then and we now occupy an office on Meadowbank business park, Kendal.

​MANAGING DIRECTOR

Kate has been working in the accounting world since leaving school, building up a wealth of knowledge and experience across a variety of roles along the way. In 2015, she founded KKAS and has been supporting businesses ever since—now working with clients across Cumbria, Lancashire, North Yorkshire and beyond.
When she’s not busy running the show, Kate loves heading off on adventures with her children and family—especially if they involve travelling abroad and discovering new places. Always curious and always on the go, she brings that same energy and enthusiasm to both her work and her life outside the office.

PETRA  DENTON
ACCOUNTS SENIOR

Petra is one of those quietly impressive people who just gets on with things. She’s multilingual (speaking Slovak and English fluently—and a little German too, though she insists we don’t make a big deal of it) and brings over 15 years of experience in accounts preparation and tax to the KKAS team. With a degree in accountancy under her belt, we think it’s safe to say she really knows her stuff.
Originally from Slovakia, Petra moved to England in 2003 and decided to stay after meeting her now husband and starting a family. She’s now a busy mum to two girls and somehow still finds time to keep everything running smoothly at work.
Outside the office, Petra loves exploring the Lake District with her family, bravely taste-testing her husband’s home-brewed beer, and hitting the local ski slope when she can where she volunteers as an instructor.

NATALIE GORDON                    
Accounts ASSISTANT

Natalie (Nat) joined the KKAS team after spending several years mastering the toughest role of all: full-time mum to three kids. Now enjoying a well-deserved break from mum duties, she’s back in the workforce doing what she does best—keeping things organised and running smoothly.
Nat has a genuine love for a good tidy (yes, really), which makes bookkeeping the perfect fit. She’s always keen to help, never afraid of hard work, and brings heaps of energy to everything she does. Somewhere between school drop-offs and family life, Nat even managed to qualify as a bookkeeper—proof that she can juggle just about anything.

​Ingrid is our go-to admin help and the friendly face that’s always guaranteed to come with a smile. She keeps things ticking along behind the scenes and is never far from a good giggle—laughter is very much part of her job description.
When she’s not in the office, Ingrid is a busy grandma to four grandchildren and loves every minute of it. And if she’s not at home, chances are she’s somewhere north of the border in her motorhome or a holiday cottage, happily exploring beaches for hours and soaking up the fresh air.

Gill recently joined us after 10 years in management accounting at a local firm. Not known for being the quiet one, she brings plenty of energy to the office and spends her spare time enjoying live music, craft beers with her husband, and attempting to tame a lively cocker spaniel
